Calculator
Estimate the effect of Time of Use pricing based on usage patterns.

This calculator illustrates how you can save money by shifting your energy use from on-peak to mid- and off-peak hours. It does not represent what your bill will be.

These estimated energy charges do not reflect your total bill, which includes other charges that apply to all PGE customers, such as basic charge, distribution and supplemental adjustments. These other charges are standard for all PGE customers and will appear on your bill.

Energy costs shown are based on an average customer’s usage pattern. Your individual time-of-day energy usage may vary.

Enter the number of kilowatt hours from your most recent PGE bill, select the type of customer shown on your Power Options enrollment form, and click “Calculate.”

The more kilowatt-hours you shift to off-peak hours, the more you could save.

The calculator assumes that the average PGE customer uses approximately 20.36 percent of his or her total kWhs during on-peak times, 45.67 percent at mid-peak and 33.97 percent during off-peak hours. The average Time of Use customer uses 18.6 percent on-peak, 33.8 percent mid-peak and 47.6 percent off-peak. Your individual usage may vary, affecting the likelihood of your savings under Time of Use pricing.
