Youth mentor volunteers
Employees nominated for youth mentoring work should fall under definition used by Oregon Mentors.

For this purpose, mentoring is considered a one-on-one, team or small group relationship (with fewer than five youth to one adult) through an organization that requires a commitment of at least one hour per week for nine months or more. A mentor is involved in a consistent, structured, stable relationship with someone from 6 to 25 years of age. This mentor focuses on developing the young person’s character, capabilities and confidence and is making a positive difference in their life.

Deadline
Nominations are accepted year-round. The deadline for submitting nominations for this year’s awards is April 30.

Judging
Award-winners are selected from the nominees by a judging panel, comprised of PGE officers, employees and community leaders. All volunteers are notified of their nomination.
